OPEN POSITION: Design/BIM Architectural Intern

EVIA Studio is a newresearch-based architecture and consulting firm in Silicon Valley specializing in contextualstory-richfuture-minded custom residences, multifamily, and mixed-use developments. We are dedicated to designing beautiful, cutting-edge, and resilient housing for the West Coast, with local offices in the Bay Area, California and Bellingham, Washington.

In true Silicon Valley spirit, we practice less like your typical architecture firm and more like a burgeoning start-up with big goals and a rebel spirit. Our team operates in a completely virtual practice, and we're looking for a unique and ambitious Designer/BIM Intern to join us as a part-time independent contractor with potential to continue work, grow, and evolve with us long-term. We don’t have set working hours, so this is a good opportunity for a student who needs to work around class time.

You will work collaboratively with all members of the team on all areas of practice (great for AXP hours!) including: BIM design/modeling, presentations/rendering, detailing, drawings, marketing, brand development, social media, business development, and more! Plus, you will be working on our most exciting project – a completely off-grid, fully automated, resilient residential community in an extreme environment on Hawaii with a focus on ancient forest restoration.

Critical skills required: Strong/advanced Revit proficiency, beautiful renderings (programs used are flexible), communication via Slack, BIM360, GSuite, etc. (as a virtual practice this is important!), and presentation skills (Adobe suite).
