Meet the Studio Team
Meaningful connection is of the utmost importance to us, which is why we're focused on integration; integration inherently yields interconnection. The Studio is a virtual firm made up of a diverse group of professionals practicing all across the country, each with unique areas of expertise. We are a team of expert innovators, collaborators, and leaders - professionals who listen, ask questions, document clearly, and deliver timeless, beautiful design that is true to you and your personal story.
We are Architectural Storytellers. Our team of interdisciplinary professionals bridges building science, architecture, engineering, and art to design integrated, living micro-worlds that tell the story of you, community, place, and time in single family homes, multifamily developments, mixed-use projects, and more. We craft the details and build stages that elevate your everyday life.
Leah Alissa Bayer
FOUNDER + STUDIO DIRECTOR
vision + storytelling
Leah Alissa Bayer, AIA, LEED GA, NCARB is an award winning Architect licensed in California, Hawaii, and Washington with an endless curiosity, forward-focus, and passion for improving quality of life. She’s on a mission to push the limits of the architecture profession, challenge conventions, and transform the way architects practice so we not only meet but exceed the evolving demands of modern living. In 2018, Leah founded EVIA Studio to do just that, designing beautiful and resilient housing that elevates our lives and environments.
Leah is a strategic thinker and natural systems designer and enjoys collaborating with ambitious individuals to take on life's most challenging puzzles. Her big-picture visioning and integrated approach to architecture stems from her multi-discipline background. In 2014 she graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), a Minor in Fine Arts, and four years of Structural Engineering (B.S.) from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Before EVIA, Leah worked for world-renown architecture firm Perkins+Will in San Francisco, where she practiced highly technical, industry-leading design and management of commercial, workplace, and campus planning projects, as well as a boutique firm in Mountain View, CA designing and leading multi-family housing, and high-end custom residential architecture.
Passionate about volunteering and heavily involved in professional leadership, Leah currently serves as a Director of the AIA Silicon Valley Board of Directors, Founding Chair of the AIA Practice Leadership Committee, Member of the AIA California ADU Steering Committee, Communications Director for the AIASV Women In Architecture, Founding Co-Chair of the Architectural Intelligence Conference, and an NCARB Experience Committee Member.
Leah lives with her brilliant husband Tim, world-famous dog Shmoo, and foodie of a tabby cat Lou, in Palo Alto, CA. She’s a life-long gamer (FPS’s FTW), loves reading, painting, traveling, and gardening, and enjoys grabbing coffee and hiking with friends.
Denise is a licensed Architect in California with a tremendous amount of experience, celebrating her 40th year of practice in 2019! Her skill set is wide-ranging, from deep expertise in technical detailing and construction administration to an intuitive command of planning and entitlements. Her most recent portfolio features prominent mixed-use, multifamily, and high-end custom residential projects around the Bay Area, but Denise also has a unique background in specialized medical facilities and prisons from her architectural experience in Canada, where she grew up (prisons? yep! you better believe she’s an amazing creative problem solver and puzzle master).
A former roller-derby badass and almost-veterinarian animal lover, Denise is a mixed bag of boisterous brilliance. Contractors and engineers LOVE her, and so do we! At EVIA Studio she is expanding her expertise in building science, mentoring the next generation of architects, and soaking up more time in nature with the flexibility that a virtual firm provides. Denise calls a beautiful, remote property in the Santa Cruz Mountains home where she enjoys gardening, kayaking, skiing, and entertaining for those adventurous enough to make the trek.
ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT DESIGNER
art + design
bim + viz
Victoria Via is an architectural designer (and so much more!) on her way to becoming a licensed architect. Interested in the capacity of architecture as art, Victoria’s designs evoke a sense of purpose, meaning, and beauty. Everything she does, she does with intention, thoughtfulness, and flawless execution. She listens with curiosity, understands with empathy, and delivers with delight - her positive energy brings an unmistakable warm glow to EVIA and we feel extraordinarily fortunate to have her on our team.
Victoria is also passionate about the use of innovative technologies in architecture and has experience coordinating and modeling complex building systems. She leads the team in BIM and visualization expertise, and helps keep us on the leading wave of the cutting edge. Before EVIA, Victoria worked for architectural firms in NYC and DC, primarily on high-end residential projects. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University with honors.
From her dependability and consistency in both work and presence, you’d never know that Victoria is on the road full-time, traveling in an RV with her husband Jeremiah! She is an enthusiastic rock climber and spends her free time climbing, traveling, and exploring nature. But after a couple years of exploring the country together, Victoria is looking forward to settling into a new home in the Pacific Northwest this fall.

When they aren’t tearing down walls or building a new deck, you’ll likely find them hiking and skiing the New Hampshire mountains or traveling back to their previous home in Colorado.
DESIGN + BIM INTERN
Dallas Till is EVIA’s latest member, and though she’s joining us as an intern, she’s bringing with her an extensive background in interior design and industry knowledge that compliments our team perfectly. Dallas is the founder of Sky Nine Designs, an interior design firm focusing on high quality design and client experience within residential and commercial markets, specializing in high-end residential, commercial, retail boutiques, and hospitality design. Dallas has a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Charleston and is studying to receive a Master of Architecture degree with future goals to become both a licensed interior designer and architect, whew!
Bright, ambitious, and a multifaceted designer, Dallas loves researching new innovations within the fields of interior design, architecture, and user experience. At EVIA she’s channeling all her extra energy to help us test and adopt new technologies, approaches to interior and experience design, and visual branding strategies.
Dallas is very active in her local community with both volunteering and mentoring design students. She resides in Charleston, SC with her fiance, Will, and their little pup, Skylar. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family and friends, enjoying low country living (you’ll come to know and love her twangy accent!), and always checking out the new local restaurants.
